Cloverfield Movie - Movie Review
Ok I know I may be late to the party when it comes to this movie, but sooner or later it will be releasing on dvd and blu-ray discs for the home. SOOO...I thought I'd give a review from the bootlegged verision I watched.
What is Cloverfield? Cloverfield is a monster movie that doesn't give a f$%# about the actual monster and instead focuses on a small group of friends who happened to get caught in the middle or the beast's pms rampage. (PMS?..How do you know it's a chick monster? Well as soon as you meet the said Godzilla reject it sh%ts out little bug creatures that look oddly like the antlions from Half Life 2.)
While enjoying a drama filled going away party for their friend Rob Hawkins (Who ironically enough was heading off to Japan..har har.), the group you follow throughout the movie become aware of an odd sudden earthquake and what seems like total anarchy on the news. Thus begins the adventure of running away from the revealed creature and the eventual escape.
Now what seemed to be the main problem for most movie goers with this movie was the point of view of the camera throughout. Rather than have the cameras go the linear route of having panned shots throughout, the director decided to have one main camera (it was some sony hd model) tthat made the movie seem like one big youtube esque clip. The camera man (known as Hud...har har again.), gives you his first person view from the party on until his eventual death (yay spoiler). Now you may say, "Wow..that's actually a pretty cool idea." Just as I said. But you see the p#ssies who go to see this movie seemed to have very sensative vision and weak stomachs that they couldn't bear to see a little shaking in the video or quick movement that made this movie what it is today. I give a big F U to these f$ggots. I watched this entire movie and not once did I get this "motion sickness" everyone seems to bitch about.
Do you like horror-ish movies? Do you like the idea of gigantic monsters tearing up cities? Do you like tragic love stories? Do you love to see movies that are actually original and do something a bit different while at the same time being something watchable? Than why the F#CK haven't you seen this movie already? GO..NAO!..Your face is disgusting!
Rating: 4/5
Reason: I wanted more monster action. Yes..MOAR!
Pros: Monster movie.
Cons: P#ssy reviewers with delicate stomachs.
